The tree of the fairies.
Few plants hold a more sacred place in Irish folklore than the hawthorn. Known as the Fairy Tree, solitary hawthorns standing in fields were traditionally left untouched, believed to be gateways between the human world and the Otherworld.
For centuries, farmers altered roads and boundaries rather than disturb an ancient hawthorn. Its presence was believed to offer protection, blessing, and good fortune, while its May blossom marked the arrival of summer with clouds of white flowers across the countryside.
The Hawthorn Collection honours the courage it takes to open our hearts, to trust again, and to embrace connection with others.
